Senior Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with sales and customers to design practical automation solutions and build proofs of concept
• Travel to customer sites to install, program, wire, and commission robotic cells
• Own integration from mechanical setup through software configuration, including fixtures, I/O, and PLC handshakes
• Train customer operators and technicians on hardware and software
• Represent the company at industry trade shows and manage demo systems
• Provide feedback to hardware and software engineering teams based on field integration learnings

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with industrial automation (PLC programming, pneumatics, DC power systems, robot programming, and Python)
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with collaborative robots (UR, Fanuc, KUKA, ABB)
• Familiarity with machine tending, palletizing, welding, or assembly automation
• Experience with vision systems, force/torque sensing, or custom end-of-arm tooling
• Background in a manufacturing or production environment
