Senior Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced pre- and post-sales engineering support for LG Residential, Commercial air-cooled, and OA/DOAS products.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of application presentations, technical documents, and engineering tools.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by reviewing R&D data for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and validating technical materials.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to support complex application designs and revenue growth.
• Conduct technical training sessions and seminars for LG employees and customers.
• Monitor industry standards and trends (ASHRAE, AHRI, DOE, EPA) to ensure product alignment.
• Mentor and support members of the Product Support Engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of experience in HVAC design or the applied commercial heating and air conditioning industry.
• Ability to travel when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with technical product application support.
• Experience with VRF HVAC systems.
• Experience interacting with factory R&D teams.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including product definition and strategic positioning.
