About the role
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and estimating teams to define electrical scope of work and technical specifications
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for custom equipment
- Create initial electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, and bills of materials
- Confirm accuracy of project materials and review vendor bid packages
- Perform electrical calculations and component sizing for power distribution equipment
- Collaborate with Estimating, Project Management, and Design Engineering teams to facilitate project transitions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or project environments
- 2+ years of experience in applications, project estimating, or sales
- Solid knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution systems and control panels
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
- Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Proficiency in Office-based software and basic CAD knowledge
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, and automation
- Experience maintaining compliance to UL standards
- Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and associated documentation
