About the role

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and estimating teams to define electrical scope of work and technical specifications
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for custom equipment
  • Create initial electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, and bills of materials
  • Confirm accuracy of project materials and review vendor bid packages
  • Perform electrical calculations and component sizing for power distribution equipment
  • Collaborate with Estimating, Project Management, and Design Engineering teams to facilitate project transitions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or project environments
  • 2+ years of experience in applications, project estimating, or sales
  • Solid knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution systems and control panels
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
  • Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Proficiency in Office-based software and basic CAD knowledge
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, and automation
  • Experience maintaining compliance to UL standards
  • Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and associated documentation
