About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, servlets, services, and Sling Models.
  • Build and maintain AEM Sites implementations using AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Develop reusable, maintainable, and author-friendly components using HTL, Sling Models, Java, OSGi, JCR, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate AEM with third-party systems using REST APIs and secure authentication mechanisms.
  • Implement and support Dispatcher configurations, caching strategies, rewrite rules, and CDN behavior.
  • Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, deployment failures, and integration errors.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for Cloud Manager pipelines, deployment validation, and environment troubleshooting.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in AEM Sites and AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Proficiency in Java 11, Apache Sling, OSGi, and JCR/Oak.
  • Experience with HTL/Sightly, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Cloud Manager and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Dispatcher configurations, caching, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AEM Edge Delivery Services and Universal Editor.
  • Experience with AEM Headless implementations using Content Fragments and GraphQL.
  • Integration experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or Adobe Launch.
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Media, AEM Forms, and CDN integrations like Akamai or Fastly.
  • Knowledge of Core Web Vitals optimization and accessibility improvements.
