Senior Application Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise applications across hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises, Windows/Linux, and AWS cloud environments
• Administer and troubleshoot Apache, Tomcat, IIS, RabbitMQ, and related middleware platforms
• Perform application deployments, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
• Troubleshoot production issues related to application performance, SSL/certificates, and database connectivity
• Build and maintain automation using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Datadog, CloudWatch, and Grafana
• Participate in incident management, change management, and RCA activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience in application infrastructure, middleware, or DevOps
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and scripting
• Proven experience in Apache and Tomcat administration
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS EKS
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins
• Experience with SQL Server, Vertica, and AWS EMR
• Knowledge of security practices including certificate renewals and access controls
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
