Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Building large-scale systems designed to handle high volumes of transactions
• Iterating from initial idea to final solution, including shaping, building, testing, and measuring performance
• Providing guidance and support to junior team members through mentoring and knowledge-sharing
• Leading technical initiatives from architecture design to implementation
• Utilizing creative problem-solving to resolve complex issues
• Creating comprehensive documentation to facilitate domain knowledge sharing
• Owning code quality and engineering excellence through best practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing large-scale applications
• Proficiency in PHP or Java (experience with Go, C#, or Python is a plus)
• Proven experience leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives
• Experience mentoring junior developers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems simply
• Product-first approach to problem-solving and idea shaping
• Strong sense of accountability and proactive improvement mindset
