Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, customer meetings, product presentations, and pilot evaluations for Ansys MBD solutions, specifically Ansys SCADE.
• Guide complex sales engagements by understanding customer software development, verification, and certification challenges.
• Articulate the value of Ansys MBD solutions to address customer process weaknesses.
• Develop proof of concepts, example projects, and deliver technical workshops or training.
• Create pre-sales materials including presentations, training modules, and video content.
• Coordinate with the Ansys team to ensure synchronized delivery of work products.
• Act as a recognized Ansys expert and trusted advisor to customers.
• Support field and digital marketing by delivering technical content at events and seminars.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or related fields.
• Proven experience in Model-Based Design (MBD), code generation, and V&V activities.
• Hands-on experience in software development using C/C++ and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems design.
• Proficient in customer-facing communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electronics or Computer Science.
• Exposure to Systems Engineering and MBSE, including standards such as DO-178C, ARP 4754B, or MIL-STD-882E.
• Experience with Ansys SCADE, Mathworks Simulink, or SysML authoring tools (e.g., IBM Rhapsody).
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as MIL 1553, CAN, AFDX, or ARINC 429/653/661.
• Knowledge of Python scripting and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, gRPC).
• Prior experience working with A&D OEMs or suppliers involved in UAVs, eVTOLs, or flight control systems.
