Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement applications, infrastructure, and system integrations to support evolving business needs.
• Lead the research, design, validation, and implementation of systems, components, and technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors on execution strategies.
• Manage vendor relationships, including submitting RFQs/RFPs, reviewing service contracts, and tracking end-of-life schedules.
• Gather business requirements to develop technical solutions and provide top-tier support for escalated incidents.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployments, systems, and procedures for audit and compliance purposes.
• Monitor and maintain system availability, reliability, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in application or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, frameworks, or technical products with hands-on development experience.
• Proven experience working within Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Technical knowledge in areas such as Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Cloud Computing (Azure/AWS), or Infrastructure Automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco UCS hardware platforms.
• Knowledge of networking, data, or telecom collaboration technologies.
• Familiarity with security tools like Palo Alto Firewalls or data platforms like Databricks and Cloudera.
