Senior Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and support SWIFT network interface Unix applications using Java and Linux
• Maintain and support existing software applications and resolve complex application issues or bugs
• Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications and effective design solutions
• Take ownership of application performance and meet or exceed pre-defined SLAs
• Partner with Product Owners on requirements analysis, planning, and project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
• 10-12+ years of experience in software development and managing global development projects
• Extensive experience with Java application development in a Linux environment
• Strong proficiency with UNIX and UNIX ksh scripting
• Experience with SWIFT messaging platforms
• Proficiency with GitHub and other source code management systems
• Familiarity with SOA concepts and the full SDLC lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of midrange system Tandem technical skills
• Experience with cloud migrations, specifically Azure Cloud
• Experience with AKS and Kafka
• Ability to learn and adapt to CI/CD tools for application deployment and maintenance
