Senior Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical contributor supporting the configuration and customization of IBM Maximo-based applications
• Lead the design and implementation of Maximo application solutions using COTS best practices
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, maintainable application configurations
• Develop and maintain application components including workflows, automation scripts, UI configurations, and integrations
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
• Collaborate with functional analysts, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders
• Support application upgrades, patches, and enhancements across the system lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues in development, test, and production environments
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards and security requirements
• Contribute to technical documentation and design artifacts
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to provide technical insight

Requirements

• Senior-level experience supporting or developing COTS enterprise applications (ERP, EAM, CRM)
• TS/SCI with FS poly
• 12 years of experience (or 16 years in lieu of a technical degree)
• Background in application configuration, customization, or development within commercial software environments
• Experience with Java-based or web-based enterprise applications
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL
• Experience supporting applications across the full lifecycle
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to rapidly learn IBM Maximo and related technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
• Experience with scripting and automation (JavaScript, Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with integrations, REST APIs, or middleware solutions
• Experience in federal, DoD, or other regulated enterprise environments
• Understanding of ITIL, change management, and release management processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
