Senior API Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise-grade integrations using the Workato ONE platform
• Design, develop, and maintain deep API integrations across an enterprise application stack (ERP, CRM, etc.)
• Leverage AI-powered automation within Workato to improve efficiency and resiliency
• Establish reusable integration architecture patterns, frameworks, and governance standards
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate needs into technical solutions
• Lead integration initiatives end-to-end from concept through deployment
• Provide senior-level escalation support, monitoring, and incident response for critical integrations

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an API Developer or Integration Engineer in enterprise environments
• 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Workato
• Deep expertise in Workato recipes, error handling, monitoring, and custom connectors
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and SOAP
• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms (HCM, ERP, CRM, finance)
• Knowledge of enterprise integration best practices, EAI/SOA patterns, and iPaaS architectures
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD workflows
• Understanding of HR data models and compliance requirements like GDPR and SOC 2

Preferred Qualifications

• Workato Foundations or Integration Developer certifications
• Experience with other iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica
• Background in HR technology consulting or HRIS implementations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or IaC tools
