Senior Android Software Engineer - Platform

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android/Android Automotive OS middleware systems from the front-end to the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
• Work across the entire software stack to develop new products, features, and tools
• Design efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of complex engineering challenges
• Ship high-quality software in a fast-paced environment alongside experts in infrastructure, automotive, and graphics engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field
• 2+ years of experience in Android or iOS development
• Proficiency in C++ and Java programming languages
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and operating systems
• Knowledge of the Android framework, custom Android HALs, services, and SDK add-ons
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and quickly master new technical tools and languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)
• Direct experience in Android platform development
