Senior Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical experts, product managers and UX designers to develop best-in-class user experiences
• Develop and deliver high complexity Android User Interfaces using Java, Kotlin and XML
• Participate in requirements definition, software architecture, implementation, and software verification
• Integrate Android applications with complex embedded control software over serial and Ethernet interfaces
• Define tasks and provide accurate estimates of required effort and project completion dates

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 7 years of experience or M.S. with 5 years of experience
• Proven track record developing complex native Android applications
• Experience integrating custom graphical and video assets into Android applications
• Strong understanding of Android layout implementation and Data Binding
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different Android versions
• Proficiency in Java with at least 3 years of experience
• Proficient with code versioning tools like Git
• Advanced English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AOSP and building Android Images
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and command-line utilities
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing (JUnit, Espresso)
• Experience in the medical device industry and FDA regulations
• Experience with Dagger-Hilt, Room, and MVVM + Clean architecture
• Skills in Python, Groovy, Shell, C/C++, Gradle, Jenkins, or Docker
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
