Senior Android Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build highly engaging, responsive, and scalable customer-facing features from concept to deployment
• Guide, mentor, and elevate mid-level and junior engineers while optimizing team processes and modernizing engineering solutions
• Partner closely with Product, UX, and Design teams to evaluate execution feasibility and manage cross-team dependencies
• Independently tackle complex engineering tasks, leveraging AI-first coding tools and profiling UI, memory, and threading

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of dedicated Android development
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Deep understanding of Kotlin, Java, Android threading, and modern architecture patterns like MVVM and MVI
• Strong experience interacting with REST APIs and handling data processing
• Proven ability to manage cross-team coordination and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with continuous build integration in an Agile environment
• Active GitHub projects or open-source contributions
• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks like Espresso
• Exposure to modern data query languages like gRPC and GraphQL
