Senior Android Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Kotlin-first features across the full Android stack, from UI to data layer, for a global NRI banking app
• Own the architecture by defining and enforcing MVVM/MVI patterns, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection using Hilt
• Drive app performance through Baseline Profiles, R8/ProGuard, and structured concurrency to ensure speed on all devices
• Deliver high test coverage across unit and integration layers using JUnit, MockK, Turbine, and Roborazzi
• Shape the offline-first data strategy by designing Room schemas and managing Coroutine-based concurrency for low-connectivity environments

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in native Android development, ideally within fintech, payments, or consumer startups
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack Compose
• Deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and the Repository pattern
• Strong experience with REST via Retrofit and OkHttp, and offline-first storage using Room
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality code with unit and integration testing (JUnit, MockK)
• High ownership mindset and a bias for execution in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM)
• Familiarity with Roborazzi for screenshot testing
