About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced, scalable Android applications
- Work with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Integrate with backend services using JSON and REST
- Shape and implement technology and business solutions
- Collaborate with team members to implement user stories and write tests
- Communicate with team members to resolve technical dependencies
- Report to the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager
Requirements
- 4-6 years of mobile application development using Java or Kotlin for Android
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
- Strong understanding of design patterns including MVP, MVVM, and MVC
- Expertise in Android interactive application development, memory management, file I/O, and network programming
- Proficiency with Rx-Java, coroutines, and live-data
- Expert working knowledge of Java, Kotlin, IntelliJ, Eclipse, and Android Studio
- Experience with hands-on Unit testing and mocking
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure, Jenkins, Circle, or GitLab
- Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and emerging technologies
- Experience with agile, scrum, or Kanban methodologies
