Senior Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural decisions, design patterns, and best practices to shape the app's foundation
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while advising other developers on code quality
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product owners to improve user experience and functionalities
• Optimize app performance, including UI responsiveness and memory management
• Stay updated on industry trends and OS advancements to propose innovative technical solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in native Android development
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java
• Strong understanding of MVVM architecture, Kotlin Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose
• Experience with Unit testing and Instrumentation/UI testing
• Robust knowledge of multi-threading concepts, queues, collections, and garbage collectors
• Proficient in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing large-scale mobile applications for diverse global regions
• Knowledge of C++, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Kotlin Multiplatform
• Proficiency in managing GPS data, geofencing, and map integrations
• Ability to communicate in Chinese and Mandarin
• Knowledge of secure app network connections and sensitive data storage
