Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt data models (Staging, Intermediate, Mart layers) following company modeling standards
• Deliver high-quality Tableau dashboards and self-serve analytics assets for Revenue, Customer Success, Finance, and Product teams
• Own the Tableau-to-dbt integration layer, ensuring metrics are consistent and aligned with company-wide standards
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into scalable analytical solutions and clear metrics
• Champion data quality by writing dbt tests, enforcing delivery SLAs, and embedding lineage documentation
• Lead CI/CD processes for dbt models, including branch-based development and automated test gates
• Support and mentor junior and mid-level analysts in SQL, dbt modeling, and Tableau development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related data role
• Production-grade dbt experience (dbt Core or dbt Cloud) including multi-layer modeling and macros
• Advanced Tableau expertise with the ability to build performant, governed, and user-friendly analytical solutions
• Proficiency in Python for analytics use cases such as data wrangling and custom dbt macros
• Strong SQL fundamentals, including complex analytical queries, window functions, and CTEs
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
• Proficiency with Git and branch-based development workflows
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts such as star schema and slowly changing dimensions
• Strong communication skills to present findings to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MetricFlow or the dbt Semantic Layer
• Familiarity with the Tableau + dbt Cloud connector
• Experience with Salesforce or NetSuite as source systems
• Background in a SaaS or recurring revenue business (ARR, churn, NRR metrics)
• Exposure to data cataloging or ELT tooling like Fivetran or Dataplex
