Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and improve data models supporting lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting
• Drive development of dbt models and the transformation layer
• Define modelling patterns, architecture, and implementation standards
• Support and mentor analysts to build stronger engineering habits
• Act as a bridge between analysts, backend engineers, product teams, and the data platform team
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of transformation pipelines
• Scale data infrastructure to support business growth

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills
• Extensive experience with ELT pipelines and transformation at scale using dbt
• Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills
• Strong data modelling skills for reliable and usable analytical datasets
• Ability to balance long-term platform improvements with immediate business needs
• Proficiency in using AI tools to improve engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses
• Experience in fintech or a high-growth scale-up environment
• Interest in mentoring analysts and raising technical standards
