About the role
Responsibilities
- Architect the analytics layer by designing enterprise-grade dimensional models and shared marts to enable consistent reporting.
- Establish engineering standards and governance, including modeling conventions, metric definitions, and data contracts.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives, including large-scale data migrations and system rebuilds.
- Define semantic modeling strategies to support both BI tools and AI agent consumers.
- Establish data structures and governance patterns to support generative AI and LLM agent enablement.
- Implement observability patterns for data freshness, volume, and quality, including anomaly detection and incident response.
- Manage analytics-facing Snowflake administration, including RBAC conventions, access workflows, and cost governance.
- Operationalize workflows using automation tools like n8n for approvals and system integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI platform engineering.
- Expert-level SQL skills and deep experience with dimensional modeling.
- Significant experience with dbt, including project architecture, macros, and deployment strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of generative AI/LLM concepts and enterprise application patterns.
- Working knowledge of production Snowflake administration from an analytics perspective.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Python proficiency for automation and data tooling.
- Experience implementing semantic/metric layer tooling at scale.
- Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Prefect.
- Experience implementing integration frameworks using n8n.
