Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust dbt models for analytics, machine learning, and customer-facing products
• Own and evolve the semantic layer defining metrics and business logic
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to ensure Snowflake warehouse performance and structure
• Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review
• Collaborate with product teams to deliver native warehouse data delivery to customers
• Build observability and governance frameworks to ensure data quality and trustworthiness

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering
• Strong command of dbt and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses
• Experience building or maintaining a semantic layer or metrics layer
• Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals
• Familiarity with data ingestion and CDC tooling
• Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Must be local to New York City for hybrid work (Tuesday-Thursday in-office)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake Data Sharing or Marketplace
• Background in fintech or financial services
• Exposure to agentic or LLM-based workflows
• Experience with BI tooling like Looker or Tableau
