Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the Semantic Layer by designing and maintaining analytical data transformations in Google BigQuery
• Establish automated data validation frameworks and schema checks to ensure data quality
• Lead the migration of complex analytical transformation rules from legacy repositories to modular environments
• Partner with Data Engineers to create clean data modeling boundaries around shared catalog assets
• Set analytics engineering standards and establish reusable data blueprints

Requirements

• Expert in designing modular, performance-optimized analytical data models
• Advanced SQL mastery and extensive experience with Google BigQuery
• Familiarity with workflow orchestrators like Dagster
• Experience with data validation, regression assertions, and quality testing
• Proficiency with Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Strong ability to communicate complex database schemas to software developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Prior experience in eCommerce, retail tech, or ad-tech ecosystems
• Understanding of web analytics tracking and ad performance metrics
