Senior Analyst/Manager/AVP - Transaction Monitoring, Tuning & Optimization

Responsibilities

• Develop mathematical and statistical models to interpret customer KYC and historical transaction data for customer segmentation and clustering.
• Create statistical representative samples using hypergeometric sampling techniques for ATL/BTL testing to validate transaction monitoring model effectiveness.
• Process large datasets for statistical modeling, graphic analysis, and data profiling to support tuning initiatives.
• Support the creation of detailed documentation, including scenario logic, tunable parameters, and de minimus values.
• Analyze data and samples to ensure the accuracy of key data elements used for alert generation.
• Independently manage, organize, and prioritize multiple complex projects and responsibilities within the Global Financial Crimes program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analysis, economics, computer science, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in designing, analyzing, testing, or validating BSA/AML or OFAC sanctions screening models.
• Proficiency in coding with R or Python for customer segmentation and data analytics.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, data profiling, and quantitative testing techniques (e.g., machine learning, decision trees, fuzzy logic).
• Familiarity with compliance systems such as Actimize, Mantas, SAS, or SIRON.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks including FRB, SEC, OCC, FATF, FinCEN, and OFAC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Working knowledge of additional programming platforms such as SQL, SAS, Matlab, or VBA.
• Experience with what-if detection scenario analytics and excess over threshold testing.
