Senior Analyst/Manager - Legal & Compliance

About the Company

DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 12 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 81 renewable energy projects in 22 states.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, vendor contracts, MSAs, and employment agreements
• Handle employment-related legal work, including HR policies and routine employment law queries
• Provide general corporate legal support, legal research, and advisory on regulatory frameworks
• Maintain and improve legal trackers, templates, playbooks, and document repositories
• Support internal stakeholders in HR, Finance, and Admin on legal and contractual matters

Requirements

• Law degree with a strong academic record
• 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in commercial agreement negotiation
• Experience in law firms or a mix of law firm and in-house environments
• Strong grounding in general corporate advisory and legal research
• Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple matters in parallel
