Senior Analyst, VBA Automation

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain automation solutions using Advanced Excel, Macro/VBA, MS Access, SQL, Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps.
• Partner with Finance operations teams to identify technical requirements and engineer automations for high-volume workflows, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Develop data models, query logic, and exception-handling routines to optimize existing tools and reduce processing time.
• Build and enhance workflow-based solutions to reduce manual handoffs and improve process standardization.
• Create high-quality technical documentation, including solution design notes, SOPs, and user guidance.
• Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and proactively identify opportunities to refactor or upgrade existing automations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in automation development or VBA/Excel-based engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and large-volume data handling.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Macro/VBA automation coding.
• Experience with MS Access and SQL for data storage and query development.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing automation solutions specifically within Finance operations environments.
• Experience working in a tech or e-commerce environment.
• Knowledge of Python-based automation, Tableau, Power BI, or ERP scripting.
• Professional certifications in automation, analytics, or process improvement.
