Senior Analyst, Trade Settlements

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and oversee trade lifecycle activities, including pre-matching, confirmation, and settlement across equities, fixed income, and FX.
• Own end-to-end processing from confirmation through settlement, ensuring adherence to market cut-offs and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement fails, cash breaks, and discrepancies by coordinating with brokers, custodians, and internal teams.
• Identify and mitigate settlement, counterparty, and currency risks, escalating material issues appropriately.
• Act as the first point of escalation for Analysts, providing guidance and resolution support.
• Perform ledger postings, identify cash and stock breaks, and ensure timely resolution.
• Propose process improvements and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.
• Provide training and day-to-day coaching to Analysts to support skill development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in banking or investment operations, specifically within Trade, Cash, FX, or Settlements.
• Strong working knowledge of trade and forex lifecycle processes, settlement cycles, and cash flows.
• Familiarity with market infrastructure platforms such as SWIFT, CLS, DTCC, Euroclear, or CREST.
• Ability to support North America shifts (7:30 PM or 10:30 PM IST).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
