Senior Analyst – Retail Inventory

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory across POS, WMS, OMS, SIS, and marketplace platforms against SAP records
• Analyze inventory data to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with distribution centers and retail operations
• Conduct lookback analysis to determine DTC inventory shrinkage trends and calculate monthly shrink reserve accruals
• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation reports and provide detailed variance analysis to highlight root causes
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance
• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate inventory reconciliation processes using digital tools and analytics

Requirements

• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification
• 3–6 years of experience in retail finance, inventory accounting, or reconciliation roles
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
• Solid understanding of Retail, E-commerce, and Marketplace business models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fashion retail, e-commerce, or marketplace environments
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics platforms or automation tools
