Senior Analyst, Retail Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for retail and general ledger areas
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
• Check retail cash variances including POS, deposits, and bank matching
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet fluctuations and prepare variance commentary
• Collaborate with Retail Operations, Finance, and global teams to improve end-to-end processes
• Support internal and external audits and SOX testing by providing documentation and walkthrough support
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation

Requirements

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) with 7+ years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR)
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and month-end close processes
• Experience with SAP / S/4HANA or similar large ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Working knowledge of internal controls, SOX, and audit documentation standards
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
