About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of accurate and efficient cyclical reporting processes for regulatory capital and management information.
  • Produce high-visibility reports for OSFI submissions, public disclosures, and financial statement notes.
  • Analyze large data sets, reconciling outputs to the General Ledger and investigating secured, unsecured, and guaranteed exposures.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and management reports for executive-level reviews.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of changes to regulatory reporting business processes, including performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure strong governance and effective controls across all regulatory capital reporting activities in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Business Finance, Risk, Capital Management, and other corporate areas.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance, risk, or regulatory reporting.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of databases and spreadsheets (Excel pivots, formulas, and macros).
  • Proficiency in data query tools, specifically SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Basel Capital Reporting or regulatory capital management.
  • Professional designation such as a CPA is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working within a financial institution or accounting firm.
