Senior Analyst - QA Automation

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, rollback, and release sign-off testing across assigned applications.
• Design effective test scenarios by analyzing business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain detailed, automation-ready manual test cases with reusable test data.
• Provide functional inputs, edge cases, and validation logic to support automation developers.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated regression test suites for web and non-web applications.
• Analyze automation failures to identify root causes, distinguishing between script issues and functional defects.
• Log, triage, and track defects using JIRA or ADO, working closely with developers and BAs to validate fixes.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, evidence, and execution reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Regression Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or ADO.
• Foundational knowledge of automation concepts, including web automation (Selenium or Playwright).
• Working knowledge of Python scripting for test automation.
• Proficiency in using XPath and CSS selectors to interact with web elements.
• Knowledge of API testing and validation using tools like Postman.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct experience in test automation.
• Experience working within Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Experience in Financial Services, Hedge Funds, or Investment Management.
• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Java or JavaScript.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated regression execution.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
