Senior Analyst Programmer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business-critical systems-of-record for UK retail and workplace customers using RPG and AS/400 technologies.
• Enhance existing systems and develop new integration and business services centered on RPG.
• Evaluate potential products and solutions to provide technical recommendations.
• Contribute hands-on to the design and development of projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Leaders to ensure successful project deliveries.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, including testing and quality assurance professionals.
• Ensure project deliverables conform to business requirements and objectives.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech./M.C.A. in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in AS/400 (i-series) application development.
• Experience with SOA and web services integration, including external service integrations on i-series.
• Proficiency in integrating Java components with i-series systems.
• Strong knowledge of XML (DTD/XSD), JSON, and REST API-based applications using the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and application integration patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS cloud platforms and building scalable, high-performance applications.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit and TDD practices.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB) and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
• Understanding of MQ, Topics, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
