Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse politics, media, and information environments of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus, focusing on the Western Balkans
• Utilize media monitoring and social listening tools to inform reporting
• Produce timely analyses, briefings, and strategic recommendations for various agency levels
• Provide insight to support communications strategies and respond to ad hoc research requests
• Develop understanding of regional strategy and project objectives
• Conduct desk-based research and support other regional analysts

Requirements

• Degree in International Relations, War Studies, Russian and Eastern European Studies, or a related subject
• Interest in or experience working on Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, or South Caucasus
• Excellent analytical skills with familiarity with qualitative and quantitative social science data
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency or business proficiency in Russian or other Eastern European languages
• Experience using monitoring or social listening tools
• Practical experience with qualitative and quantitative social science data
• Experience with Structured Analytical Techniques in open-source research
• Knowledge of Python
