Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse the politics, media, and information environments of Eastern Europe
• Utilize media monitoring and social listening tools to inform reporting
• Use Structured Analytical Techniques and open-source data to produce evaluative and forward-looking assessments
• Produce timely analyses, briefings, and strategic recommendations for stakeholders
• Provide insight to support communications strategies and respond to ad hoc research requests
• Conduct desk-based research and support other regional or thematic analysts

Requirements

• Fluency or business proficiency in Russian
• Degree in War Studies, International Relations, Russian and Eastern European Studies, or a related subject
• Interest in or previous experience working on Eastern Europe
• Excellent analytical skills with familiarity with qualitative and quantitative social science data
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using monitoring or social listening tools
• Practical experience with Structured Analytical Techniques in open-source research
• Knowledge of Python
