About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality risk analytics for Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk modelling.
- Lead capital market model development for trading derivative products (FX and Interest Rate) and securities lending portfolios.
- Develop daily trading limit models, Initial Margin models for uncleared trades, and Basel regulatory exposure calculation tools (EAD).
- Support stress testing, capital quantification, and internal capital allocation methodologies.
- Collaborate with front office business partners, regulators, Audit Services, and independent reviewers to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance.
- Provide technical and theoretical inputs to resolve complex risk issues and enhance the overall risk framework.
- Conduct independent analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of risk measurements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or an advanced quantitative degree.
- Alternatively, a B.Tech from a tier 1 college with an MBA in a related field.
- 0-2 years of hands-on quantitative risk experience related to market or counterparty risk.
- Proficiency in Python (preferred), SAS, and VBA programming.
- Strong knowledge of stochastic process pricing and Monte Carlo Simulation models.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks including BASEL, CCAR, and SR11/7.
- Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of statistical concepts used in stress testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in model validation.
- Relevant industry qualifications such as CFA or FRM.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural and global environment.
