About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide treaty reinsurance catastrophe modelling support to treaty reinsurance underwriters.
- Analyze cedant exposure and modeled results to import into vendor risk modeling environments.
- Apply complex reinsurance treaty terms and conditions across multiple lines of business and structures.
- Generate accurate modeling results and pricing within expected timeframes in line with SLAs.
- Interpret and communicate RMS and AIR modeled results to reinsurance underwriters.
- Conduct analytical research on modeling approaches, market trends, and process improvement opportunities.
- Assist with workflow management, process documentation, and quality reviews.
- Mentor and train junior team members on process workflows.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in portfolio roll-up or treaty modeling domain.
- In-depth CAT modeling knowledge with expertise in RMS RiskLink or RiskModeller.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL.
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle rotational shifts, including late evenings.
- Knowledge of global reinsurance market and P&C insurance terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in treaty modeling specifically within reinsurance renewals business.
- Experience directly interacting with end customers or clients.
