Senior Analyst, Financial Institutions, Ratings

Responsibilities

• Analyze pertinent information and data to determine ratings for banks, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), and their debt issues
• Make credit recommendations and present findings to rating committees
• Draft press releases, company-specific reports, and industry commentaries within a fast-paced environment
• Communicate S&P Global methodology and procedures effectively to clients
• Continuously monitor the operating performance of rated companies through public filings and private information reviews
• Participate in meetings with issuers and investors to address analytical needs
• Contribute to global and regional sectoral forums and author related commentaries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the financial industry
• Strong financial statement analysis skills and deep accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in writing analytical reports in English
• Fluency in Japanese for communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present effectively to senior executives

• Advanced degree
• CFA charter holder or CPA certification
