About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, categorize, and analyze denials and underpayments from EOBs and ERAs
- Correct and resubmit denied claims following payer guidelines and timelines
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues and ensure accurate reimbursement
- Review denial trends and collaborate with RCM teams to implement preventative processes
- Analyze and resubmit denials across multiple specialties, including medical coding and authorization
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in denials management or healthcare billing
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes, payer requirements, and CARC/RARC codes
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
