Senior Analyst (Data Strategy and Analytics)

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for data use strategy to assist the academic and administrative community
• Lead institutional data compilation, analysis, visualization, and internal reporting
• Partner with the Associate Vice Chancellor – Data Strategy to compile reports essential for decision-making
• Manage data governance and data management processes
• Collaborate with School/College leadership and administrative units to identify appropriate data elements and analytics tools
• Communicate complex results to multiple audiences using various visualization and reporting methods
• Apply appropriate analytical techniques to resolve business and operational challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong emphasis on quantitative skills, systems, and data analytics
• At least 3 years of experience in a data-related role (e.g., Institutional Research, Enterprise Analytics)
• Proficiency in data extraction tools such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel
• Technical understanding of data warehousing and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree with an emphasis on data analytics and data systems
• Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and higher education reporting systems
