About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify risks throughout business processes and systems in collaboration with business process owners
- Facilitate Business Unit risk assessments, including Process Self Risk Assessments (PRSAs)
- Support control monitoring and compile key operational risk trends, activities, and events
- Proactively identify high-risk areas for intervention through independent quality assurance and process testing
- Support thematic risk reporting regarding risk levels, trends, and root causes
- Categorize controls and map them against risks and processes across business units
- Maintain risk dashboards, key risk indicators (KRIs), and updated risk registers
- Support the identification of risks related to New Product Governance (NPG)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk or Internal Audit functions)
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in process governance with an understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational standards
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and evaluate risk scenarios
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field
- Advanced degrees (MBA, MSc) or relevant professional certifications
- Experience facilitating risk assessment performance and testing programs to ensure regulatory compliance
- Experience in independent control monitoring and identifying control improvements
- Experience compiling thematic risk reporting to provide actionable insights
