About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the drafting, negotiation, and finalization of side artist waivers to ensure alignment with company policies and industry standards
- Review and interpret contracts to identify key terms and conditions related to side artist contributions
- Collaborate with A&R, Finance, Royalties, and Legal Affairs departments to ensure timely completion of all necessary clearances
- Liaise with artist management, legal representatives, and external stakeholders to negotiate terms and secure clearances
- Maintain detailed records of all clearance processes, including negotiation status and contract execution
- Ensure all side artist agreements are accurately documented and maintained in legal and administrative databases
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and address any discrepancies during the clearance process
- Provide guidance and support on side artist clearance matters to internal stakeholders
- Prepare reports and updates for senior management regarding the status of side artist clearances
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in music business, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in music licensing, A&R administration, or related roles, specifically focusing on side artist agreements
- Strong understanding of music licensing and contractual agreements
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with contract management systems
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with internal and external partners
