Senior AML Officer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the relevant authorities
• Ensure alerts are handled in accordance with defined procedures, meeting quality and timeliness standards
• Conduct investigative research using appropriate techniques and provide detailed rationales for decisioning alerts
• Execute components of the AML function’s monitoring programme
• Stay informed on changes to AML/CFT laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure full compliance
• Report directly to the Head of the AML department

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role within a regulated financial services environment (preferably a CIF)
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT applicable regulations
• Fluent in both English and Greek (written and spoken)
• Proficient in Google Workspace tools
• Must be a permanent resident of Cyprus or hold a valid work permit
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid CySEC AML Certification
