Senior Algorithm Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level performance analysis to evaluate and optimize advanced airborne sensor capabilities
• Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications
• Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
• Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems
• Execute detailed data analyses following engineering processes and best practices
• Participate in formal and informal peer reviews to identify and resolve technical issues
• Interface with engineering teammates, team leads, and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment
• Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Signal Processing, Image Processing, Detection Theory, or Machine Learning
• Knowledge of developing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments
• Programming experience in C or C++
• Hands-on experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Strong mathematical modeling and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience with software change management tools and version control systems
• Experience with realtime programming for embedded or mission-critical systems
