Senior Aircraft Technician - Avionics

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, installation, repair, and replacement of electronic components according to component maintenance manuals
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company processes
• Diagnose malfunctions and isolate faults from LRU level to component level (transistors, resistors, capacitors, etc.)
• Utilize through-hole soldering skills to remove and replace components on printed circuit boards
• Operate and set up automated test and bench test equipment
• Maintain Electrostatic Sensitive Devices (ESD) processes throughout the repair phase
• Complete maintenance orders and coordinate with the Business Office for parts and supplies

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aviation avionics systems installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing defective electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCB)
• Strong through-hole soldering skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• FCC license
• Through-hole soldering certification
• Trade school education
• Knowledge of Arinc-429 Avionics communication standards
• Experience with ZOC, SAP, and RS232 test software
