About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and develop AI/ML algorithms to solve complex problems in medical imaging
  • Apply modern machine learning techniques, including deep learning and generative models, to imaging and inverse problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and clinical partners to define requirements and deliver solutions
  • Prototype and validate new approaches through feasibility studies and rapid experimentation
  • Contribute to publications, patents, and internal innovation initiatives
  • Translate research into practice by supporting the integration of algorithms into product workflows

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Experience applying ML to real-world problems such as imaging, signal processing, or computer vision
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical imaging, computational imaging, or image processing
  • Familiarity with generative AI techniques such as diffusion models or foundation models
  • Experience with inverse problems, reconstruction, or physics-based modeling
  • Track record of publications or patents in relevant fields
  • Experience working in collaborative research or product development environments
  • Exposure to C++ or performance-oriented implementations
