Senior AI Switch Systems Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the system bring-up and validation of state-of-the-art AI scale-up switches for high-density GPU compute racks.
• Perform high-speed SerDes and link bring-up, including configuring Auto-Negotiation/Link Training and tuning TX equalization for 200G/400G/800G interfaces.
• Execute link qualification testing using PRBS, Snake Traffic loopback, and FEC analysis to validate BER performance.
• Utilize Broadcom SDK tools to characterize port performance and diagnose link failures.
• Integrate and validate server management infrastructure including BMC/IPMI and Redfish API.
• Develop Python-based test automation scripts to accelerate validation coverage.
• Debug complex system-level failures across hardware, firmware, and software to identify root causes.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, platform validation, or high-speed networking silicon characterization.
• Deep understanding of high-speed Ethernet standards (400GbE, 800GbE) and PAM4 SerDes technology.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation, log parsing, and data analysis.
• Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and firmware logs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Broadcom switch ASICs (TH6/Tomahawk series) and Broadcom SDK/DAPI frameworks.
• Familiarity with server management protocols such as IPMI, Redfish/OpenBMC, and PLDM.
• Experience with signal integrity debugging, eye diagram analysis, and reading PCB schematics.
• Background in high-density switch/router platforms or AI/ML fabric infrastructure.
