Senior AI Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade GenAI and agentic AI solutions on GCP using Vertex AI, including models, endpoints, and pipelines.
• Build AI agents and multi-step agentic workflows involving tool calling, orchestration, and system integrations.
• Develop RAG and vector search-based solutions to power global retail media and insight products.
• Implement security, privacy, and governance controls, including safe prompt design and data protection.
• Apply DevOps and MLOps practices, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Establish observability for AI systems through tracing, metrics, logs, and automated dashboards.
• Define and execute AI testing and evaluation strategies, including red-teaming and human-in-the-loop review flows.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI services.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software, data, or ML engineering with a track record of delivering AI/ML or LLM solutions into production.
• Practical expertise with GCP and Vertex AI, specifically in deploying models and building RAG/vector search solutions.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, including transformers, tokenization, embeddings, and the trade-offs of fine-tuning vs. prompting.
• Hands-on experience building agentic workflows or multi-agent systems using modern frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and experience building/consuming APIs within microservices or event-driven architectures.
• Solid grasp of AI safety, including mitigating hallucinations and prompt injection.
• Experience with MLOps/DevOps practices such as CI/CD, version control, and monitoring in cloud environments.
