About the role
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and refine NPC archetypes aligned with core combat loop vision
- Implement and refine high-quality combat NPC behaviors using node graphs and behavior trees
- Script, tweak, and fine-tune NPCs directly in the Snowdrop game engine
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of NPC-related tools and workflows
- Partner with Tech, Art, and World teams to maximize NPC potential across all content
- Collaborate with production and leads to plan tasks, assess risks, and manage scope
- Iterate on NPCs based on playtest feedback to improve combat experience
Requirements
- Proven game development experience in the shooter genre (3rd-person preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in designing humanoid enemy NPCs
- Proficiency with node-based tools for game development
- Extensive hands-on experience with behavior trees
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Comprehensive understanding of iterative development and rapid prototyping
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with The Division games
