Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production-grade AI services and backend applications using Python
• Design and implement LLM-powered workflows, including prompt design, context management, and tool calling
• Define robust contracts for APIs and AI outputs to ensure reliability and maintainability
• Test and evaluate AI services through automated testing, prompt iteration, and measurable evaluation approaches
• Implement safety and reliability controls such as guardrails, validation, and error handling
• Monitor production systems using logs, metrics, traces, and AI observability tooling
• Collaborate with product owners and domain stakeholders to transform ambiguous use cases into production-ready solutions

Requirements

• Strong Python and backend engineering skills for building production-grade services and APIs
• Proven experience developing and shipping LLM-powered applications in a production environment
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, structured outputs, and context management
• Experience integrating foundation models and LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Bedrock)
• Strong experience in API design, testing, deployment, and observability
• Practical understanding of AI safety, reliability, and evaluation patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, MCP, RAG, or Graph databases
• Familiarity with platform engineering practices like Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working with Java or Kotlin
• Ability to prototype quickly using tools like Streamlit or Jupyter notebooks
• Background in applied NLP tasks such as classification or PII detection
