Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own API product direction, defining the roadmap for core search APIs, monitoring, and evaluation tooling
• Lead solutions for strategic accounts by architecting integrations and partnering with customer engineering leaders
• Translate customer feedback into concrete product specifications and prioritized roadmap items
• Act as the technical face of the product through deep-dives, documentation, and reference implementations
• Collaborate with engineering on API design, performance, and developer experience
• Prototype new API primitives and ship production code into the core stack

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and product roles, specifically with developer-facing or API products
• Ability to write production-quality code
• Deep familiarity with the AI agent and LLM ecosystem
• Proven track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end
• Strong customer instincts and ability to maintain technical credibility with senior engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping a developer API or platform product
• Experience working with sales or solutions teams
• Experience building AI agents, retrieval systems, or search infrastructure
• Public footprint in the AI or developer-tools space (open-source, writing, or talks)
