Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM-backed product capabilities to deliver personalized insights and guidance
• Own evaluation, quality, and safety for AI workflows using custom frameworks and tooling
• Integrate LLMs with personalization and understanding layers to ground AI behavior in user context
• Contribute to a multi-LLM and reasoning platform including routing logic and experimentation
• Build robust, observable, and cost-aware systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Partner cross-functionally with product, data science, research, and design teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI engineering
• Multi-year background in backend engineering or applied ML
• Proficiency in Python or a modern backend/ML language
• Experience with cloud-native services and production systems
• Proven ability to own systems end-to-end from data pipelines to deployment
• Experience shipping products to real users in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM evaluation (LLM-as-judge, red-teaming, prompt versioning)
• Familiarity with RAG, knowledge graphs, or semantic retrieval systems
• Background in personalization, recommendation, or ranking systems
• Exposure to digital health, wearables, or behavior change domains
• Experience with developer tooling or observability products
• Experience mentoring other engineers or scientists
